KTR calls on Lankan Minister for Commerce Satasivan Vialanderan

Hyderabad: BRS party working president KTR on Monday met with Sri Lanka Minister for Commerce and Environment Satasivan Vialanderan in the city.
Satasivan told KTR that he had earlier mentioned in the Sri Lankan Parliament about the remarkable progress made by the newly-formed Telangana State in India in just 10 years. Referring to the development of the areas around the cable bridge in Hyderabad, he praised it as if it resembled Singapore. Satasivan appreciated the way KTR had turned Telangana into a care of address for investment as an IT & Industries minister.
Stating that the problem of unemployment is on the rise all over the world, he said the way Hyderabad was transformed into an akshaya patra of opportunities during the 10 years of BRS rule is an inspiration to all.
"It is a rare thing that the IT sector on the one hand, manufacturing and the pharma sector on the other hand are being given a big push in Telangana. At the same time, the industrial sector is being run at lightning speed,” the Lankan minister said while noting that cities like Hyderabad are the economic engines of any country and it is the responsibility of the respective governments to protect them.
"Referring to his interaction with a police man during visit to Chennai, he said the police man told him that the Telangana police were getting the highest wages in the country.
KTR said the last 10 years of rule in Telangana State, which was achieved after 14 years of struggle, was carried out like a yajna and added that it was because of their hard work, extraordinary results had been achieved in a short span of time. He said wealth had been created in Hyderabad, which is the heart of Telangana, has been distributed to the poor in the form of welfare schemes.
Stating that it's not just the industrial sector, which was given priority by them, he said environment had also been given equal priority and added that the 7.7 per cent increase in green cover in the State was a rare record in the country. He said the Haritha Haram programme for Telangana was the third largest attempt in the history of mankind.
KTR felicitated Satasivan with a shawl and presented him with a memento after he congratulated him on becoming a Sri Lankan MP and Union Minister at a young age. MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, party leaders Jajala Surender, Dasoju Sravan and others were present.
